Trillville Member Charged With Rape

Trillville front man Don P has been charged with rape and two counts of aggravated sodomy, it was reported today. The charges stem from a December 16 party which took place at the Woodcrest Walk Apartment complex in Lithonia, GA, just outside of Atlanta.

According to Dekalb County Police public information officer Corey Hughes, 23-year-old Don P (real name Donnell Prince) and another individual were in a bedroom with a 16-year-old female on the night in question when a rape occurred. The other suspect remains unidentified.

A source close to the artist told AtlantaUrbanMix.com that Don P turned himself in to authorities last Monday (Jan. 30) and is still being held at the Dekalb County Jail. The source, who asked to remain anonymous, says that at least three witness have come forward with statements indicating that the act was consensual. A bond hearing may come as early as tomorrow (Feb. 7).

At press time, representatives from Trillville’s Atlanta-based label BME Recording, and Don P’s company Trillvillains, Inc. were unavailable for comments. Trillville’s solo debut, Trillville Reloaded is set for a Spring 2006 release.
