So I just copped the new DJ Smallz mixtape or cd of course featuring Squad Up hosted by Lil Flip. You already know that Flipper is working on coming back hard after his major label album fell off at least to many of his fans from the dirty dirty. He’s been coming back and working the streets and mixtape circuits pretty hard and giving us a taste of what we all remember back when we became fans of his flow. This time with DJ Smallz he’s presenting his boys Squad Up the newest members of the Clover G’z record label and they’re out of NOLA.

Most of this mixtape is spent rapping over others beats which is about the norm these days but you don’t get a lot of Flip even though he’s big on the ablum artwork. You do get a lot of creative and funny rhymes out of Squad Up though which has 4 members. One of the tracks that’s sure to catch your attention is Track 7 No Laughin Matter where someone finally puts some real lyrics over the D4L Laffy Taffy beat making it something you can actually listen to. Track 6 Work Out is pretty hot if you like that shake your ass type of booty lyrics and beat to hit the club with. Overall though Track 14 Aint My Style with Flipparaci is the standout of the mixtape and probably going to end up a future single if you feel me. Track 16 Club Banger is definitely a hot one to hear too so check this shit out. As far as mixtapes go this one is pretty nice, you know mixtapes are already cheap so you can hardly go wrong, hot lyrics and pretty good flow makes for a good joint to bang in your slab for the next few weeks until you can cop another mixtape.
